Ontario law: in a moving vehicle your phone must be securely mounted and you must not hold or touch it (Highway Traffic Act s. 78.1; fines from $500 and licence suspension). Start patrol while parked. Once driving, never touch the phone. This screen takes no input while you move.
Park. Mount the phone firmly (dash or vent mount, screen visible but not blocking your view). Plug in power if you can.
Turn off auto-lock for this session if the screen would not stay on.
Tap Start patrol, allow location and motion, then drive normally.
Stop only when parked. Events upload then.
Only short jolt events (time, place, speed, direction, strength) are sent. Never your route. Privacy · Safety
